San Pedro de Atacama....that where we finished the last story . So we booked 4 tour...yes we wanted to see as much as possible in a small time. So here is the tight schedule: we supposed

to start off with sandboarding on sunday morning...but guess what...the guide canceled the trip

because he was too drunk the day before. So our schedule was changed...in the afternoon we went

to visit Moon valley...it is amazing..it really looks like you are walking on the moon (well it looks like), we also saw the sunset here ...how romantic with about 100 other tourist :-) The next morning we had a tour planned for 4 am ...yes you must be thinking...chicks you are on holiday...why the hell get up at 3h30am. Well, we went to the geysers, which was about 2 hours drive and the activety is at its best just at sunrise. We were told it was going to be cold...so we girls from holland are used to the cold...so we thought we could handle it...and who would expect that it would be -8 C  when it is about 40C at noon. We were freeeeezing, our feet were num but we would wanted to miss out this tour. When we arrived all the geysers started to get active and hot water came out. It was an amazing sight, Heidi was the brave on and took a jump in the hot pools, as sas & floor were making the picture and tried to warm up with abit of sunshine. We also visited a little village ...lets call it the Lama village...we only see these animals in the zoo...but here you could see them in the wild.....after this we had the opportunity to try some lama meat.....it actually tasted quite nice. We got back at noon and had a bit of a siesta ....well lets say a very long one as our next tour was at 23h30 ......Watching the stars. In San pedro you have an amazing view of the stars...there is this french /argentina couple that runs a specials site with massive telescopes. So we saw the southern cross, the milkyway, mars, lion, capricorn, etc etc...so much to see...its amazing...as in holland you can

not see half of it all.

Next morning we did sandboarding, we had a private guide and a dune all for us alone. We all did pretty well ...although we all made some great landings in the sand...you can see the pictures on the website. In the afternoon at 16u we had our next tour...yes it was a bit stressfull...but you never know if you will every come back here. The salt lakes....again something we have never seen before. In the middle of the dessert you have a salt lake that has 3x as much salt as the sea....so you can floot in it...stange feeling. Coming out of the what we were all covered in salt...people with dark hair ..all looked grey. See the picture of the flooting chicks. After this we had a photo session at the salt lake...imagen a dry lake, which only salt, it is as white as snow. Ofcourse you can make some funny photos`pictures...see the photos on the site. We even had a cocktail with sunset...life can not be better.

In this little village we also met a group of guys from Chile ...they actualy invited themselves to our table...well as social as we are we joined them for a beer...result Chilian guys think that "hatsjikidee" means cheers in dutch.....we have it all on tape....we couldnt stop laughing....

After this tight tour schedule we were off to Salta ...back to Argentina. In Salta we decided to rent a car for 5 days to explore the area, we tought it would not be a problem finding a rental car ...but finaly after visiting about 15 rental car places we found our Renault clio....just perfect. So off we went... having the luxury of a car...........5 days of sipping wine at the vineyards, enjoying the landscape and visited little towns in the middle of nowhere....thank god Floor speaks spanish...well Heidi and saskia get better every day.

Now we are back in Buenos Aires and took the boat to Uruguay for 2 days of beach and doing absolutely nothing but relax........photos will follow very soon
